New Tribes Mission

New Tribes Mission

Friends in Action’s partnership with New Tribes mission first started in 2005 with a bridge construction project in Guinea West Africa. Since then we have been back to build a second bridge, clinic and a church.

In 2007 FIA approached NTM in England and offered their services at their Bible Training Centre in North Cotes, Lincolnshire, England and in 2008 the first team of builders, joiners, plumbers, painters went to refurbish a men's shower block.

Each year from then we have been invited back to assist with refurbishment  of other bathrooms, remolding students accommodation, pouring concrete paths, fitting kitchens, upgrading office space etc. - Our biggest project to date was the re-roofing of a laundry building. This project of replacing a flat roof with a pitched truss roof was certainly challenging with men working at height and having to meet local building regulations.

It has been encouraging to see volunteers come forward for these work teams and give of their time and talents for the Lord's work.
