Friends In Action’s ‘Water of Life’ team is based in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, W. Africa. From our base just 15km east of the capital city, we travel to the remotest parts of Burkina Faso and its neighbouring countries to drill much needed deep water wells.
Many of the unreached, sub-Saharan, village level communities amongst whom we work, have not had the opportunity to hear of Christ and at the same time suffer greatly due to the lack of access to clean, safe drinking water supplies.
Drilling in such a dry and thirsty land means that volunteer teams are often working and living in difficult to access areas where daytime temperatures can pass 45C.
