Make a Difference!

An interesting suggestion I thought when I received a leaflet from a friend in church about the conference in NTM, North Cotes last year, so I decided to attend the conference. When I was there I noticed a group of men working on a substantial undertaking and went to chat with them. I was greatly impressed by them and their willingness to give a week of their time to undertake voluntary work on the campus.

I decided to chat with my wife and perhaps offer to help, in a small way, for a week with the “Friends in Action” this year and see if I could “Make a difference”, which we agreed would be a good idea. So this year I worked with four men on two jobs on the campus, hoping to make a small difference.

I did not expect what happened during the week. I do not know if I “made a difference”, however the experience of working with the lads made a difference in my life.

During the week I met people, the men of the work team of which I was part (Friends in Action),students, volunteers working on campus ,and missionaries preparing to go on mission, who greatly influenced me and resulted in me examining my relationship with God.

Working with the “Friends in Action” team was a soul enriching time. Reader, as you read this and maybe think that you could “Make a Difference”, then contact “Friends in action” and chat with them.
