Protect a Well: Well Head Construction

35%

Protect and provide safe access for all, to a well.

Well head construction works provide physical protection to the hand pump and water supply while improving sanitation and hygiene.  Channelling water spilt around the well during water collection away to a water trough for livestock and then onto a soakaway, ensures that potential for stagnant water to accumulate around the well head area is greatly reduced.   Help us protect these live giving wells and their users in remote rural communities.  We plan to construct 20 well head surrounds and drainage systems this year.
